Ganesh Chaturthi puja materials checklist
Use this as a planning checklist, not as a universal or priest-approved shopping list. Exact materials depend on the selected household tradition and ceremony route.

Setup and reusable vessels
- The approved clay Ganesha murti, established image or other form for the chosen route.
- A clean platform or mandapam, cloth, kalasham, bell and puja trays.
- Clearly labelled water vessels and separate spoons, mixture vessels and clean rinsing water.
- Towels, a cleanup vessel, sacred thread and cloth where the reviewed route requires them.
Everyday offerings and food
The working scope includes turmeric, kumkum, sandalwood, akshata, flowers, incense, cotton wicks, lamp oil and camphor. Flame supplies are for responsible adults only.
Food may include reviewed fruit, coconut, kudumulu or modakam and other naivedyam accepted for the selected route. A source’s reference to yathashakti—according to one’s capacity—does not create a blanket permission to substitute every item.
Treat the 21-leaf rite with extra care
Telugu references enumerate 21 leaves, but regional names, textual readings and botanical identities do not always map cleanly. Some candidate plants, including Datura and oleander, can be dangerous.
Use only labelled supplies accepted for the family’s route. Keep restricted plants sealed, adult-controlled and away from children, pets and food. A simplified leaf rite needs its own named reviewer approval.
Group materials before the day
Arrange shelf-stable items in advance, while leaving fresh food and liquids for the appropriate time. Keep the sacred centre, offerings, liquid vessels, naivedyam and adult-only flame area visually distinct.
The working digital product does not include or ship physical puja materials. The final public offer must state that limitation plainly.
